# Audio

To add music or sounds to your game, you must go to the Multimedia section and click on the "UPLOAD" section, or drag it to the scene from your files.

You can add it in two different ways:

* If you drag it into the normal scene, you'll only hear it in that scene, and when you move on to the next one, it won't be played.
* However if you place it on the Interface Layer (![](/files/9sqyT2UquFvzmDPRZkX4)), you'll be able to hear it throughout the game.
* You can put the audios you want in your game.
* If you click on the audio and then on the audio settings button, you will see the following:

1. ***Audio file:*** listen to the sound or music you import.
2. ***Autoplay:*** if you turn this option on, the music will play automatically without you having to press the play button yourself.
3. ***Repeat:*** when the audio ends, if you turn on this feature, it will repeat from the beginning and continue to loop.
4. ***Show Controls:*** with this feature, you'll hide audio from the player's view, making it visible only to you in edit mode.
5. ***Initial volume: y***ou will be able to control the volume at which the audio will be heard.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://academy.theufolab.com/game-editor/multimedia/audio.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
